‘BIG WAVE’ is the new album title by Feeling Like A Million since four years ago Sebo Lilge, Vincent Slotta, Stefan Krohn und Ansgar Scherer released their first debut album ‘Salvation’. Yes, you DO have the right to be excited!
Through the past years Feeling Like A Million earned their reputation as being an excellent live band. With well arranged melodies, tight riffs and a massive wall of sound they are able to create an impressively energetic performance, which their audience will keep in their minds.
Despite lots of presence on and off stage, they continuously worked on new songs. With ‘BIG WAVE’ the band presents itself as the kind of rock band they are, whose goal it is to always increase the quality of their music and to surprise, with much more dynamic and melodic songs.
By listening to the songs we quickly learn that the songwriting became more mature, and the content more profound. So it’s no surprise that they sing about the relationship between two people, of love and pain. A back and forth between hope and desperation, passion and anger, but always allowing a glimpse into the future.
Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean we get lost in cliché, but more likely being punched in the face. Remember: We’re talking about solid rock music here!
‘BIG WAVE’ appears to be a record made with lots of self confidence. Compared to ‘Salvation’ a different way of recording and producing leads to a more open and dynamic sound. By including all four band members into the writing process and with the help of Producer Tommy Hein, we now hold in our hands a truly remarkable piece.
